100 Article Challenge

HI everyone,

I was inspired by Connie Green's achievement of writing 100 articles in 78 days. I've set a goal for myself to have 100 articles on ezinearticles.com by August 31. Anyone care to join me in a friendly challenge? I've only got 4 articles up so far, so you are probably ahead of me anyway!

I like the challenge! I'll join you. I've got 10 up but I have a very busy time work-wise coming up, so the challenge will definitely be big enough for me!

Yes, I'm up for that. So now I've got 66 articles to write between now and then! that seems steep but I know that I can do it.

Cherie and Helen, you're going to be busy! Let me know how you get on with this and I'll post my progress from time to time.

I have lulls, like now when the children are home and two are in the midst of exam season. I currently have a 7 year old with a raging temperature...but I can still get some stuff done.

When I feel overwhelmed by the goals I set myself, I remind myself to take one step at a time and adjsut deadlines if necessary.

I like your idea to set a goal. Like Lynne, I have a very FULL plate already. We're more likely to keep going though when inspired company is joining in the challenge.

Is anyone up for a weekly checkin as a group? Perhaps, one person could handle a call and moderate the discussion, then a different person handle it the next week, etc?

Is anyone else interested?

Welcome to the challenge. I personally would be more up for an email checkin or doing it through a group. I haven't checked out the group function here, but that might be an option. I spend way too much time on the phone already, it seems.

I think I prefer email or group check in too. Time differences and children make phone ins tricky

I'd love to join this challenge. It's steep, but with encouragement from everyone, I think we can do it. I'll tell you something about one of Jeff's new sites, BuddyTheInternetDog. I wanted to check it out this morning so I typed buddytheinternet dog in my google search bar. I am too lazy to open a browser and type the full address so I usually just type the address and add .com. This morning I forgot to add .com. So I got a google indexing page and what was there? An article Jeff submitted about Buddy's site! The site iteself is really too new to have been indexed yet but an article he wrote very recently is already indexed! And it's pointing to Buddy's site - of course!

Does that give us some encouragement???

I am so proud of all of you! I encourage you to write and submit everything you write. The writing not only improves over time, but you will find the area that you are passionate about and the words will really begin to flow. I don't worry about the length of my articles - around 350 words tends to be my average. Let the challenge begin. My next goal is to get to 115 articles so that I will be on page 8 instead of page 9 on the EzineArticles experts listings.

You're such a motivated bunch I did the maths and worked out that because I have a 2 week vacation coming up that I need to write 6 artcles a week as well as create more web pages, look after 5 children, coach and continue to write my EBooks...
It really is a challenge!
I like Connie's idea of letting go of the perfectionist monster and submitting everthing I write. Here goes...

I've created a group on this site for those of us who want to accept the 100 article challenge. Just click on groups up at the top of the page and you will see it. I sent an email to all my friends through the invitation function, but several of them were refused because of spam filters. So I suppose this is the best way to get the word out!
